In this video, I’ll take you through the entire process of remodeling a small space in my new (second-hand) kitchen, which was definitely in need of some cleaning and a style upgrade. In the first part, I’ll tackle the heavy task of prepping the wall and share a few easy DIY tips that anyone can use, along with lessons I’ve learned from my mistakes.
After preparing the wall, I’ll move on to applying paint and wallpaper and, finally, arranging new furniture using some creative IKEA hacks. Throughout the video, we’ll have a fun chit-chat about color choices, new home trends, and a few fun facts about me. At the end of the video, you’ll get to see the reveal, including a breakdown of the price I paid for each item and the total cost of the project.
PRICE ADJUSTMENT
In the material price list for the remodeling project, I forgot to include a satin finish varnish for kitchen surfaces (referred to as “protective gloss” in the video). The varnish costs €13.99 for 750 ml, which brings the total project cost to €269.46.
Please note that the varnish might be optional depending on the type of wood paint you choose.
